Medical Missionary Work

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. “Matthew 4:23. This is the saving work that Jesus did 2000 years ago. And this is the work that He left His disciples to do until His return. Every one who has accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior is commissioned to follow in His footsteps. Medical Missionary Work is a term that encompasses this three-fold work of teaching, preaching, and healing. Medical Missionary Work is the gospel put into practice. It is Isaiah 58 at work. It is “to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens… to let the oppressed go free… [to] break every yoke… to deal thy bread to the hungry… [to] bring the poor that are cast out to thy house… when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh. “Isaiah 58:6-7.
And this work will be the last work that God’s people will be doing (in addition to literature evangelism) before Jesus returns. If you want to walk in the footsteps of your Savior, then consider learning about Medical Missionary Work and how you can be equipped to be a Medical Missionary.
