Individuals and families are fragmenting and failing at alarming rates, and communities and churches are severely affected because of it. People don\u2019t know how to go free from their personal problems, and many don\u2019t even know what freedom looks like. After practicing in emergency medicine, intensive care, urgent care, and family practice in hospitals and clinics inside and outside of the United States, he was troubled by the fact that his patients were not significantly improving. They continued to have the same diseases, which required more medications to control them. In time, he realized that what was needed was a change in his patients\u2019 lifestyle. He then pursued a career in lifestyle medicine.<\/p><p>While working in and then directing an intensive, residential, lifestyle management program, Dr. Mark saw that lifestyle change and the use of natural remedies was very powerful in helping to reverse many people\u2019s diseases. However, he also realized that many people could not maintain their lifestyle program long-term, and a number of people\u2019s diseases would not improve at all. This drove him to look for the underlying cause of their problem.<\/p><p>It became evident that the cause was located in the mind. Everyone does what they do for a reason, and the reason is found in the mind. Dr. Mark began to study the mind. The insights he gained helped him realize that he needed to deal with the whole person, not just their health complaint. If someone was struggling with disease, they were also struggling with certain thoughts, beliefs, and difficult relationships. As he learned to deal with the whole person, and understand how they think, he was able to lead them to a freedom they had never experienced before.<\/p><p>Eventually, Dr. Mark realized that it was time to start a new ministry which would take these insights and focus on developing services, materials, and resources that will help as many people as possible be free, spiritually, socially, mentally, and physically.
