Facing Fear

1. Secure in His love, you are delivered from fear.

1 John 4:18,19

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

Psalm 56:3

Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

Proverbs 3:23-26

Then you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; for the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.

2. It is Satan who inspires fear and God who delivers you from it.

提摩太后书 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

3. As you cast your burden of fear upon the Lord, He will sustain you and give you rest.

诗篇 55:22

你要把你的重担卸给耶和华,他必抚养你;他永不让义人动摇。

Matthew 11:26-28

Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

4. His presence banishes fear.

5. Since your trust is in God, you need not fear what man can do to you or say about you.

Psalm 56:11

In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

6. Since He is in control of all circumstances affecting you, you can face them confidently in Him.

Psalm 46:1,2

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.

Psalm 91:1-5

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day.
