Helping Those With Low Self-Esteem

1. A loving creator brought you into existence. When you give your life to Him you are adopted into His family.

Ephesians 3:18,19

[that you] may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height–to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

John 1:12

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

2. You are unique, one-of-a-kind with no one else like you in the universe. You are special to God.

Isaiah 43:1,4,7,21

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not , for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your hame; you are Mine. Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you; therefore I will give men for you, and people for your life. Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him. This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise.

Exodus 33:12

…You have said, “I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.”

3. Jesus gave His life for you. He wouldn’t give His life for a nobody. You have immense value in His sight.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

4. Even your physical deformities, inadequacies and deficiencies do not deter His love. All things will ultimately work our for your good.

Romans 8:28, 31-37

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

5. God has a plan for your life.

Psalm 37:23

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.

6. As you put your life into His hands, He will enable you to fulfill your true potential.

Proverbs 3:5,6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Psalm 1:1-3

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
